Here’s 50 bucks kid, go buy a calculator.

I’ve got 4 years of advance college math
and I refuse to get involved in these
newfangled
“word problems”.

would be quite the accomplishment to enter word problems into calculator and get answers.
Come to think of it, Hey Google, if car is traveling....

I’ve got a engineering degree, and I still had to use google to reassure myself that I gave the corr ect answer to my 6th grader. (Of course I delivered my response to her confidently, then waited until I walked out of her room to check on my phone.)

If Mary is traveling east on a train at 60 mph, and Bill is jumping up and down at 4 jumps per minute, how long will it take for me to get to the bar and try to forget how dumb I feel now?

Now you have me wondering if you could put word problems
into Wolfram Alpha and it’d solve them, looks like I’m reinstalling the app today.

Ask O.C. about common core. He’ll go on at length.

I feel like I’ve forgotten all math learned in college, and a significant portion learned in high school. Given enough time, maybe I could dredge some stuff up, or rediscover it based on principles I do remember, but it’s a bad situation.
Worse, while just plug it into a calculator/matlab/etc. was frowned upon, I don’t even know how to do that anymore...

Can confirm.

I have bachelor's level calculus classes coming up... The last time I took math course was 2011... Online, associates level Algebra 1. And now I need to take calculus. Wtf is calculus?!

My excuse: Sorry, I use log scale at work.

Don’t ask me. I cannot into math.

Log scale?

The derivative of the logorithmic asymptote is a hole in a related rate of a parabolic function of x.

I forgot to include indefinite integrals.
Okay, now you’re good. Just figure out that stuff

Integrated genitals. Sure.
Math is weird.

Squiggly line shenanigans
that can actually be explained by a few rules and “short cuts” if you don’t care about the “theory.

Trust me,
I’m a Physics Teacher!

Thankfully it’s an online course so Wolfram Alpha here I come.
Not worried about real world application since I do IT. Can a link be made? Sure. But I'm doing pretty well without it.

Well the theme of introductory Calculus is primarily limits and some terrible notation, oh and slope is super important!

Forgot about this, it works! Plugg
ed in “what is the average
airspeed of an unla

Monty Python and the Holy G
